v Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic
affairs / improvements
The Faculty and students are very much involved in the academic affairs and improvements. They actively participate in the tests and Seminars.
In fact, three Internal tests are conducted along with class tests and surprise tests to prepare the students for their best performance in University examinations.
Further, for practical papers laboratory tests are conducted.
Assignments are given on the topics related to their subjects. Students are asked to take seminars by the use of LCD Projector
To update their knowledge on latest topics, Guest lectures are conducted.
Students
are motivated to develop software in matters like placement technical tests,
Registration for VIEW – IT – the Inter collegiate competition. Our students with
an enthusiastic effort toiled and brought out CD exclusively for the blossoming
buds which was released on 11.09.2007 by Dr. Rosary Mary, Director, Youth
Welfare Department,

The VIEW-IT the Inter collegiate competitions, organized and conducted by the students every year under the guidance of the Faculty, helps them to improve their technical skill & leadership qualities.
Extra laboratory hours are given to the students based on their needs.
Students are encouraged to browse through the net at their convenient timings.
Weak students are asked to study and write extra tests.
Questions and important points & method of presentation in the examinations are discussed at the time of distribution of test papers.

Mechanism/Norms
& Procedure for democratic/good Governance
A student representative is nominated from each class of the MCA course. The students’ representative brings to the notice of the faculty and the Principal, matters of academic interest that relate to the students. They help in arranging the conduct of seminars, assignments and tests. There is a departmental association for the students with the Principal as President and the Faculty member as Vice-President and students as Secretary and Joint Secretaries.

Students’
feedback regarding institutional governance and faculty performance is collected
at the end of the year from the final year students. The Principal holds discussion with the
Faculty regarding the feedback and appropriate action is
taken.

Grievance
redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students:
Staff
who feel aggrieved are free to meet the Principal and represent their
grievances, which are sympathetically considered and necessary action are being taken.
The grievance cell has been formed in our College each cell contains 20 wards with a counsellor. Students can share their inner feelings
freely to the counsellor and necessary actions are being taken
immediately.

Continuous Evaluation System and place
According
to the Internal Continuous Evaluation system that is followed according to the
University regulations Assessment is made for a maximum of 25 % marks. The various components for internal
assessment are Tests with a maximum
of 15 marks Seminar with a maximum of 5 marks and Assignments with 5 marks.
Marks of 2 best tests out of 3 are
considered for marks under Tests.
There is no passing minimum for internal
assessment.
